GbOnly creates a list of GenBank entries that have accession numbers not found in the latest release of the Embl database.
In recent releases, the EMBL database has included all outstanding GenBank updates so that the GbOnly database has been empty.

The output from GbOnly is a simple report of GenBank entries for use with the GCG program DataSet to build the GbOnly database.

GbOnly reads the GenBank accession number index, and compares this to the output from a run of AccessionNumbers on the Embl database. Any GenBank entries that have accession numbers not included in the Embl file are written to a file called GbOnly Dat, which is then used as input by the DataSet program.
A script gbonlybuild automates the procedure.
The GbOnly database is used at Embl as the remaining part of GenEmbl together with the main Embl database. In the past, it was used to identify GenBank accession numbers or entries that were to be imported into Embl. Now the GbOnly database is empty.
Complete command-line control is not available for this program.
