HFFs were mock-treated or CHX-treated (100 mg/ml) for 30' prior to addition of media or parasites. Uninfected and infected cDNA samples from either mock-treated or CHX-treated cells were compared by microarray analysis. Early response genes denoted CHX resistant were induced in both mock-treated and CHX-treated infected cells. Early response genes denoted CHX sensitive were induced in only the mock-treated infected cells.
