"polyA substitutes in the hybridisation buffer?"
Hi,

I read somewhere that a research group has been using BSA instead of polyA and cot-1 in their hybridisation buffer and had good results. Sadly, I can't remember where I read it, so has anyone else seen this?

Also, as a microbiological microarrayer, what can/should I use instead of cot-1 if BSA isn't suitable?

I recall that on the web site of Telechem they recommend to use BSA as a blocking agent, but I do not know what blocking agents they use besides BSA.
