"right slide?"
Hi all,
I wonder if I can print single stranded oligonucleotides of about 25 bases on Telechem super amine, or Corning CMT- slides. If not, please could you tell me why? and, what kind of slides could I use for this?
Thanks a lot
Venus

Using an Aldehyde type slide or substrate (SuperAldehyde) would be more effective. If you have a c6 amino modifed linker on your 25 mer this will attach the aldehyde surface through a schiff's base covalent bond. This way you get nice end attachment and have lots of gene sequence available for hybridization.

Thanks,

Todd

I can offer you different chip surfaces, which have been activated with a novel chemisty for the highly efficient immobilization of aminomodified oligomers. Depending on the activation, the oligomers are covalently attached either to a linear linker (=> LLslides) or to a three dimensional polymeric surface (=> ISPDslides). Especially the ISPDsurface enables you to print particularly homogenous and re-usable microarrays.

Best regards;
Doc Sneider

Dear Doc,

can you tell more detail about the different types of slides (e.g. product names, your experiences). I also plan to print amino-terminated 15-20-mers. I only tried sylilated slides for arrayit, but I'd like to test others as well.

Sincerely,

Istvan Novak
