"RNA from blood?"
Hi,
I'm working with the National Center for Toxicogenomics at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. We are very interested in getting good quality RNA from whole blood. Presently we are using the PAXgene system from Qiagen which was designed for human blood. We work with rodents, and get good quality RNA using spec and bioanalyzer measurements but are first hybes weren't great. Does anyone have any experience here, whether human or other species?

Thanks

My first questions would be: How did your post-label spec look? And what slide format are you using. We have used some slides that do not work at all with tot RNA, only with mRNA or aRNA. We are now using Univeristy of Toronto slides. You can find more info at www.microarray.org.
