"How big the gif file should be?" |
Hi, I installed SMD on a linux box (redhat 7.3). When I submitted an experiment, the gif file generated is as large as about 50MB. Is this normal? The slide has 8K spots. We used GenePix. The info from tiffinfo is as following:TIFF Directory at offset 0x5335088 Subfile Type: (0 = 0x0) Image Width: 3816 Image Length: 11432 Resolution: 2000, 2000 pixels/cm Position: 0.276, 0.056 Bits/Sample: 16 Sample Format: unsigned integer Compression Scheme: None Photometric Interpretation: min-is-black Artist: "AxImageIO: Barcode=; Temperature=27.18; FocusPosition=0" Date & Time: "2002/07/12 14:06:20" Host Computer: "AxImageIO: FullSize=4400,14300; Compression=0,100; PMT=650; Averaging=1; LaserPower=3.59; LaserOnTime=10841; ScanPower=100" Software: "AxImageIO 2.0.2.2" Document Name: "635nm image" Image Description: "532 nm " Make: "Axon Instruments (V1.00)" Model: "GenePix 4000B " Orientation: row 0 top, col 0 lhs Samples/Pixel: 1 Rows/Strip: 32 Min Sample Value: 0 Max Sample Value: 65535 Planar Configuration: single image plane Thanks, Chunxu
