tokuyasu May-05-03, 05:35 PM (PDT) "SMD install with linux Apache and Oracle NT" We would like to install SMD with the following setup: RedHat Linux ES (Apache will live here) Oracle on a remote NT box The install.pl script seems to allow remote hosts (it asks the name of the db host machine), but it assumes NFS mount points. Does anyone have recommendations with Oracle on NT? Do we have to set up Samba or some such? How exactly does the config script use the db path information? Does SMD communicate with the db only through Perl DBI? I would appreciate any general info on the architecture of the system.
