Fowarding email from CMGM Accounts This document contains instructions for forwarding mail sent to users @cmgm.stanford.edu mailboxes to other accounts. These instructions may followed from any Macintosh or Windows-based computer. |

Using the "forward" CMGM Command | |||
Start PC- or Mac-Samson, and log in to host cmgm.stanford.edu using your CMGM account username/password or Kerberos. At the starting prompt, type "forward": |

If you previously forwarded your email from CMGM to another account, you will be asked if you want to turn off forwarding: | ||||

Type "y" to turn off forwarding. You will need to type "forward" at the cmgm prompt again in order to specify a different forwarding address. (In the example above, email sent to my email account was forwarded to username@domain). | ||||

If you have not used the forward program before, you will asked if you want to continue. Type "y" and return. | ||||

At the prompt, specify the email address you will use instead of @cmgm.stanford.edu. | ||||

Verify that you have entered the forwarding address by typing "y" and check your new email address for a message from CMGM indicating that the forward has been applied. | ||||
