Registering a Computer for Ethernet Access (Macintosh Version)

Registration

You must register your computer for ethernet access. The network in the medical school campus is designed to automatically assign a TCP/IP address to computers based on its hardware identification number using a DHCP server. If you do not register a computer, the DHCP server will not issue the necessary IP address.

You may skip registering a computer if you are moving the computer from one lab to another within Beckman center, and in its original location the computer had satisfactory network performance (this indicates that the computer was previously registered).

This registration page has no instructions. For a registration page with detailed instructions (re: locating the Hardware Address and System Version Number), select this link.
