Using PC-Samson ("Winsam"), open a connection to "cmgm.stanford.edu". |
Log in to your CMGM account with your CMGM Username and Password: | ||||
At the prompt "cmgm:~ 31 %" type "cat > .klogin" and press return or enter to create a .klogin file (the period in front of the klogin string is necessary).
Add the following line of code: username@IR.STANFORD.EDU where the username is your "leland" account name. This information is case sensitive. Press control-d to save the file. This will throw you out to the "cmgm:~ 31 %" prompt, where you can logoff. The .klogin file instructs the computer to look for your Kerberos ticket at IR.STANFORD.EDU. If a ticket is found, you are automatically logged on. |
