1. Who can use the Biacore? (back to top)

The instrument is available for investigator-operated use. Prior to use, the operator must have

• either completed a Biacore training course or have demonstrated expertise (publications) in the field, or
• must be a member of the Stanford community and be able to provide a signed Biacore Analysis Request Form.

Investigators provide their own chips, Biacore approved Buffers and reagents. The instrument is maintained in a "ready to operate" condition by PAN staff. Please email Auggie Sanchez at asanchez@cmgm.stanford.edu to schedule time on the instrument or consulting time.

Non-Stanford researchers may access the PAN facility on a limited basis, please contact the PAN director at 650-723-1907 for more information.

The PAN facility staff is available to answer your questions and help you with problems Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. through 5 p.m.

4. Off-hours access (back to top)

Access on nights/weekends is given only to current users who have completed at least 3 sessions of independent use on the Biacore system and who the PAN facility staff feels can operate the equipment comfortably.

Experienced users can apply for off-hours access. Please allow 2-3 days for processing of your request.

Off-hours access is given at the discretion of the director and may be cancelled for any user who doesn't adhere to PAN facility policies.
