These pages describe how to connect your Macintosh or MacOS-based computer to the SUNet network from an on-campus location using ethernet. You need to have an ethernet card installed in your computer.

1.
Get Open Transport or MacTCP
If you have ever used your Macintosh to connect to the network on-campus, you probably already have this software installed on your computer. Otherwise, select this link to learn more about getting and installing Open Transport and MacTCP software on your Macintosh.

2.
Connect your Computer to the Network
To learn how to cable your computer to the network select this link. This link may also help you determine if you have an ethernet port installed on your Macintosh.

3.
Register your computer for DHCP
Once your computer is cabled, you must register to browse the network reliably. Choose one of these selections:
