| 1. | Get a Leland Account |

| Most CMGM users have Leland accounts (this is also called a SUNet ID). To sign up for a Leland account or to get information about your Leland account follow the link here. |

| 2. | Get MacSamson and MacLeland |
||||
| MacSamson is Stanford's own Kerberized telnet client (for logging in to CMGM, using PINE, ELM, or other telnet applications). MacLeland is a Stanford-specific program to Kerberize password connections. Instructions to download and install these programs are located here. |

| 3. | Configure MacSamson to use Kerberos with your CMGM account |

| MacSamson automatically uses Kerberos for Leland (elaine.stanford.edu) telnet and email sessions. Find out how to automatically initiate Kerberos sessions in CMGM. |

| 4. | Configure Eudora for Kerberized Sessions |
