1. | Get a Leland Account |
||||
Besides a modem and a computer, to connect to the SU network you must have a Leland account. Leland accounts are available for registered students, postdocs, approved visiting scholars, faculty and staff. If you are not a student or employee of Stanford University, you can obtain a sponsored Leland account. Information regarding Leland accounts is located here. |

2. | Get Open Transport or MacSLIP |

If you have ever used your Macintosh to connect to a network using a modem you probably already have this software installed on your computer. Otherwise, select this link to learn more about Open Transport and MacSLIP. |
