| 1. | Get a Leland Account |

| Besides a modem and a computer, to connect to the SU network you must have a Leland account. Leland accounts are available for registered students, postdocs, approved visiting scholars, faculty and staff. If you are not a student or employee of Stanford University, you can obtain a sponsored Leland account. Information regarding Leland accounts is located here. |
